The Proposed Project

The Applicant proposes to dredge the waterlot generally located adjacent to Portside Road, Richmond to remove accumulated sediments at the barge ramp at this site in the Fraser River. The project consists of the dredging of less than 4,000 cubic metres of sediment with a clamshell dredge and transporting the dredged sediment to the Point Grey disposal at sea site, subject to approval by Environment and Climate Change Canada. If approved, the dredging is scheduled for mid-February and will occur within the least risk fisheries window.
