Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination - 
Standing Offer for General Construction at Canadian Forces Base Borden Ontario

January 10, 2020 — The Department of National Defence must decide whether the proposed project Standing Offer for General Construction at Canadian Forces Base Borden Ontario is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this decision, the Department of National Defence is inviting comments from the public on the project and its potential effects on the environment. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

 

Real Properties Operation Borden Detachment proposes to create a Standing Offer for General Construction activities that would include all the buildings at Canadian Forces Base Borden. The types of general construction activities include:
· the manufacture, repair, supply, install and modification of carpentry and/or millwork
· minor electrical in support of multi–discipline works
· the manufacture, repair, supply, install and modification of concrete and/or masonry
· plumbing
· interior and exterior painting
· roofing.
