Public Notice - Public Comments Invited

2019-12-19 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

Written comments must be submitted by 2020-01-18 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

TELUS Communications Inc. is proposing the installation of a 18/80 GHz radio communication link from Bella Bella, BC to Shearwater, BC.  The installation will include a 2 foot diameter dual band microwave antenna that will be installed on an existing telecommunications tower on the Bella Bella No 1 Reserve.  This radio communication link will be used to carry telecommunications, including voice and data service, to Shearwater.
