The Proposed Project

Lehigh Hanson Materials Ltd. proposes to replace a derelict barge-offloading ramp at their depot located at the foot of Musqueam Drive in Surrey, British Columbia. The works include the removal of the existing barge ramp, concrete ramp abutment, and piles. Installation of a new barge ramp is proposed in the same location as the existing ramp and includes construction of a sheet pile wall, new abutment, and offloading ramp. As part of this project, rip rap installation is proposed along the shoreline to repair a section that is eroding. Works are proposed to be conducted from the upland, with some in-water works completed by barge.
