The Proposed Project

Royal Roads University is proposing changes to the Recreation Centre on College Drive within the Royal Roads University campus. The proposed changes include the addition of change rooms, sauna, storage, mechanical rooms, reception, lobby and ancillary rooms. The additions will be added to the north and west sides of the existing building. An existing perimeter drain around the north side of the Recreation Centre will require replacement and relocation. The perimeter drain will be replaced with a 150mm diameter perforated PVC pipe to capture significant ground water sources and redirect water to the downstream irrigation well. The canopy to the entrance of the building on the southwest corner will also be removed and replaced with a smaller canopy and new entrance to the new reception and lobby area.
