Grazing Permits on Saskatchewan First Nations Reserve Lands – s. 28(2) permits- Various First Nations - Public Comments Invited

October 18, 2019 - Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed grazing permits, located on various Saskatchewan First Nations Reserve land, are likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The proposed Project

Under s. 28(2) of the Indian Act, permits for Grazing purposes are issued  for Saskatchewan First Nation Reserve Lands at the request of the First Nation community. These are short term permits and are non-exclusive use. Standard mitigation measures are in place for the permits. This posting will cover the period from September 11, 2019 until March 31, 2020.
