Participant funding available from the National Energy Board

The NEB has made funds available under its Participant Funding Program (PFP) to assist registered intervenors in participating in the regulatory process of the proposed Energy East Pipeline Project. Funding must be used to prepare for and participate in the hearing process.

Funding will only be awarded for hearing related activities conducted after your PFP application has been approved. Please review the Participant Funding Program Guide to determine how to apply for funding and what funding will cover.

For the Energy East Project, a two-phased approach to funding will be used. The Participant Funding Program will be accepting funding applications until 27 July 2015 for the second phase which provides funding for Intervenors to test evidence, to prepare and submit final argument and to prepare for and attend any portion of the oral component to the hearing. Note: the 23 February 2015 deadline for the first phase has now passed.

Interested persons are encouraged to review information on the proposed project and the List of Issues that have been issued by the Board before submitting an application. To learn more about the NEB Participant Funding Program, please visit the Participant Funding Program webpage or contact the Participant Funding Coordinator (PFP.PAFP@neb-one.gc.ca or calling 1-800-899-1265 (toll-free).
